Figure’s third-generation humanoid

Figure 03 is the current hardware platform behind Figure’s home and commercial robotics push.

The company says the robot was redesigned from the ground up around three requirements: give Helix better sensory input and manipulation hardware, make the platform more suitable for homes, and make the design easier to manufacture at higher volume.

Core specifications

Figure currently lists the robot at 5 ft 8 in tall and 61 kg, with a 20 kg payload, 5-hour runtime and 1.2 m/s speed.

The runtime and speed figures are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured benchmarks from Tomorrow, Tested.

Sensors and hands

Figure says Figure 03 uses a redesigned vision system with twice the frame rate, one-quarter the latency and a 60% wider field of view per camera than the previous generation.

Each hand also includes a palm camera to provide close-range visual feedback around grasps.

These changes matter because Helix is a visuomotor system: perception quality directly affects the control policy’s ability to manipulate objects and move through cluttered spaces.

Designed for homes — but not only homes

Figure presents Figure 03 heavily around laundry, cleaning and dishes. At the same time, the robot has returned to BMW for industrial logistics work.

That combination is important. A home robot must tolerate diversity and clutter; an industrial robot must deliver repeatability and uptime. The same hardware platform is being used to explore both.

Manufacturing status

In April 2026, Figure reported that BotQ had delivered more than 350 Figure 03 robots and had increased production rate from one robot per day to one per hour.

That is significant for humanoid robotics, but it should not be confused with broad commercial availability. Figure has not announced general consumer sales or a public retail price on the product page we verified.

What remains to be proven

The most important unknowns are not dimensions or peak specifications. They are reliability, service life, safety around people, maintenance costs and performance across uncontrolled homes over long periods.

Figure’s Helix 2.5 work is specifically trying to address one of those gaps: whether a Figure 03 can carry learned behaviors into homes it has never seen.
